Reduced circulation in leg: Cramp like pain in the leg muscles that comes on walking (not only on standing), particularly while going up stairs or slopes or on walking fast, is relieved with rest and recurs on resuming of walking.
Poor circulation in leg: Burning pain in the feet or toes present on lying flat in the bed and is relieved by hanging the leg from the edge of the bed or in the dependent position. Gangrene of the digits or limbs. Non-healing ulcers - Wounds that do not heal.
Wounds in patients with diabetes.
Aneurysm with ballooning of the aorta – a major artery in the belly that can cause back pain or is detected on abdominal scans.
Occlusive Carotid Artery disease – suspected in patients with history of transient loss of vision, sensation, weakness, loss of speech, paralysis with recovery, stroke with changing symptoms. Represent preventable brain angina / attacks if arteries are treated in time
Renovascular Hypertension – is suspected in patients with high blood pressure that is difficult to control or that requires more than 3 drugs and may be associated with worsening of kidney function or kidney failure.
Venous diseases: Varicose veins – patients with large dilated veins with leg pain, swelling, pigmentation, bleeding or non-healing ulcers. Deep Vein Thrombosis – patients with painful, red, leg swelling after long travel, hospitalization or use of oral contraceptive pills.
