This clinic provides much needed comprehensive care to patients with abnormal blood vessels. This includes lesions that are present from birth that become apparent after they get bigger or at times result following an injury.
There are two types of lesions: Those that have a slow flowing blood and those with fast flowing blood where the artery and vein have a direct communication.
Depending on the location, extent and involvement of tissues a customized treatment plan is offered. This includes use of pressure garments, percutaneous sclerotherapy or embolisation, intrarterial embolisation and surgical excision used in various permutations and combinations.
At times when the disease is extensive and not operable, symptomatic relief is obtained by staging the procedure so that multiple sitting obtain considerable relief rather than complete cure.
